So my gloriously long Summer holiday is all but at an end, but I think I’ve probably done my 18 days justice. I saw one of my best friends get married, I spent five days in Amsterdam and four in London, I went to the cinema and a fancy dress party, three museums, two new parks and one gallery, read three books, climbed Arthur’s Seat and two Munros and ended it all by watching one supremely – you might even say Wickedly – awesome musical on Friday night.
It’s been a busy, expensive, crazily beautiful mish-mash of a holiday, full of laughter, Pimm’s and dirty bare feet in the sunshine. I know I’ll be remembering it for years to come. Right now though, I’m looking forward to a couple of quiet days with my beloved Edinburgh before an August full of camping, Fringe-going and Bucket List-ticking kicks fully into flight. It truly is a wonderful life.
Now. What’s that thing I do for a living again? Anyone?
